WHO WE ARE
UNE was founded in 2010 with a clear objective:
Creating a safe, environmentally friendly product that enables people to become increasingly independent of fossil energy, improving their quality of life
OUR NAME, OUR PURPOSE
UNIVERSAL: to make energy universally accessible and usable by everyone.
NATURE: because each of our products is environmentally friendly, safe and made from recyclable materials.
ENERGY: as our products are based on an energy storage concept.
OUR HISTORY
THE IDEA
The idea was to develop an environmentally friendly and secure storage system based on truly sustainable technology. A market study phase began to find out the state of the art of the technology.
FOUNDATION OF UNE
In 2012 the company was founded, and the first electronic components were born. Design of the first prototypes based on the revolutionary SALT BATTERY.
THE FIRST MILESTONES
The first 100 installed batteries were achieved in 2014, the same year UNE was awarded ISO 9001 certification for corporate quality, and the prestigious European Community Seal of Excellence.
EXPANSION
In 2018 UNE enlarges, the new and modern headquarters in Correggio, (province of Reggio Emilia) is opened, where light and space are at the centre of research in the field of architecture. It is also involved in Integridy: the largest European project for the smart networks of the future.
NEW MARKETS
In 2021, the products are extended to the nautical and industrial sectors, and a grid-connected photovoltaic plant is built in the municipal market of Gitaza (Burundi), where, for the first time, electricity is made available that was previously absent.
NEW HORIZONS
In 2023 UNE received the international Flourish Prize for clean and sustainable energy, and new products for three-phase applications in both low and medium voltage in the marine and industrial fields were completed.

The European Community Seal of Excellence under the Horizon 2020 programme.

UNE is ISO 9001 certified: this recognition attests to the quality of our business processes, from our internal organisation to the production of our products.
FLOURISH PRIZE
Flourish Prizes 2023 for Accessible and Clean Energy (GOAL7) - This award is a recognition of our commitment to a more sustainable future.
PRODUCED IN ITALY
UNE products are entirely designed, developed, tested and manufactured in Italy, with the aim of promoting and enhancing the excellence of our country's products.
UN 2030 AGENDA
Since its founding in 2010, the company has set development goals listed in the UN resolution known as Agenda 2030: a document that recognises the close link between human well-being, the health of natural systems and the common challenges faced by all countries.
